Topic nr 1 : SIMULATION OF BUILDINGS AND HVAC EQUIPMENT : LABORATORY AND ON-SITE EXPERIMENTS

- Contribution to the IEA ECBCS projects on validation of simulation models (Annex 43) and on heat pumping and reversible air conditioning (Annex 48)
- New case studies: audit of HVAC systems
- Benchmarking for the AUDIT of HVAC systems (end of AUDITAC project)
- Energy evaluation of new residential and commercial buildings projects
- Modelling and testing of room air conditioners

Topic nr 2 :   THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT

- Testing of refrigeration compressors and systems
- Analysis of performances of expansion devices

Topic nr 3 :  THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON OTHER THERMAL MACHINERY AND THERMAL SYSTEMS

- Testing and modelling of (positive displacement) expanders and of other components to be used in low-power Rankine cycle
- Analysis of various possibilities of energy recovery with Rankine cycles
- Modelling and testing of air-water separators

Topic nr 4 :    COMBUSTION

- Continuation of the research on fuel oil burners control in conjunction with the IEA group "Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction in Combustion" and with financial support from WMTE
- Continuation of the activities within the "LABNET" European group.

Topic nr 5 :  THERMO - HYDRAULIC PERFORMANCE OF HEAT ECHANGERS

- Continuation of the ESA project on "Advanced Heat Exchangers for Future Launchers" in cooperation with ULB.

Topic nr 6 : INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION ENGINES (ICE)
